Giancarlo Esposito to host Black Film Fest!
The Texas Black Film Festival kicks off February 4th (2010) and runs through February 7th.
At this year's venue - the Studio Movie Grill - the organizers are offering up sixty-two films in the competitive portion of the highly-anticipated Annual Festival.
The theme this year?
"Peace through Independent Film"
The opening night premiere (February 3rd) will be hosted by actor Giancarlo Esposito..
The Black Film Festival will host three full days of entertaining and insightful films, workshops, and industry-related events.
The organizers have stressed that this year's slate of projects has been programmed for family entertainment and inspired by the African-American experience.
In the final analysis, filmmakers are excited about the prospect of having the opportunity to reach audiences seldom recognized through major mainstream theatrical release.
Film categories will be screened in 2 hour blocks.
Each block is a separate $8 ticketed event.
