Went to the Spastic Children's Association of Selangor in PJ today. After a brief intro by one of the volunteers there, Pn.Mary, we were brought around to visit the whole centre and to understand the children daily activities. Being spastic actually means cerebral palsy, in simpler terms, some part of their brain is damage. Iit can be duer to damage before, during or after birth by which till now, we still can't find the exact reason for damage before and during birth.

We visited their speech therapy, hydrotherapy (the kids were happily playing in the pool with the supervisor and their parents guiding them), occupational therapy, gym, cooking room, workshop etc..I bought a bracelet and bookmark hand-made by the spastic children. It's really very beautiful and delicate. These kids are really talented too.

Well, i would love to upload some pictures now but haven gotten the pics yet. So, shall upload them later. Again as a reminder in life, we should all be thankful and grateful that we can live life normally everyday with a brain to think, eyes to see, nose to smell, mouth to talk, ears to hear and limbs to move. We are all so fortunate to be born normal. So, appreciate life and don't let little things in life make u feel useless and worthless or giving up on life. I also say kudos to these parents who sacrifice unconditionally to look after their child. After all, spastic anot, I believe everyone is special in their very own ways and as a human, be given the equal love, care and protection.

Veno, our dearest responsible and firm class rep is leaving us. She is going to Manipal on Monday, so today is her last day with us. It was such a sudden news. I felt kinda sad that a friend is leaving us but happy for her also because she is still going to pursue her dream.

*ALL THE BEST VENO, MISS U ALWAYS*

Me, Veno and the rest of my coursemates during the glucose level test

On the last day..in our lecture room

Nonetheless, it's the weekend again! Yay. ‘Study-free’ for the next three days..haha. Well, the paper was not too bad, at least it makes not listening to Dr.Z that morning in class worth it *wink*

Then, 13 of us; me, SS, EY, Kat, HF, HW (hey do u all realize that HW is also initials for someone else?such coincidence..ahem..haha ), Louis, Edward, JW, KY, MS, Deep and Vic went to Secret Recipe to celebrate Su Sian’s birthday. We had ‘Vianna Brownies’ as Su Sian’s birthday cake. The cake was pretty rich in chocolate but it is as hard as stone also..haha. Hmmm, not too say it’s not delicious but just not my type of cake. Cheese cakes still rules! :) We sat at Secret Recipe for almost 3 hours practically chatting, laughing and more chatting. We chatted about almost anything that comes into our mind, and we can conclude at the end of the day that guys can be as nosey or even nosier than girls when it comes down to certain matters. And once again,

* HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY SU SIAN. WELCOME TO BEING 20..HAHA *

At Secret Recipe.

Well, was suppose to blog bout this last nite but i was too tired and the connection was bad.

The Calvary Carnival was held at the Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Club. I went with Kat, Helena, Jing Wei and Edmund. Hui Fang couldn’t wake up and she wasn’t feeling too well. I couldn’t believe my alarm rang for 30 minutes before I finally got up (shows how much I was enjoying my sleep..haha). The whole place was packed with people, games and of course, sinfully good food!

At the entrance to all the good food and games!

Helena, me and Kat at the big slide

We had our lunch at the pool side under the sun at 1pm (more tan for everyone..hehe)

Icy cool coconuts on such a hot day

Maryanne and I at our drink stall

Hanging out at Kuria's popiah and spaghetti stall

Penguin on my right and butterfly on my left hand

Poodle joins in the fun too..itz so cute rite? Auntie with daring red hairstyle

The carnival was a blast and it was fun making the extra fats, tan and tiredness that I accumulated today worthwhile. *winkz* Truly enjoyed myself. By God's grace, hopefully the carnival managed to achieve the target set.

I just got our SMS (School of Medicine Society) party photos today. Last Fri, we had our first SMS party in conjunction with Dr. Hadi’s farewell at our senior, May Ching’s house. Dr. Hadi will be going to UK to help the refugees. It was the first official party that we got to mingle and got to know more about our seniors. The party was overall quite fun minus the fact that I got thrown into the pool all thanks to KJW and Greg. I couldn't really reme, bered how I ended up in the fool but those 2 somehow were ones dragging me into the pool. I wouldn't had mind actually had I went prepared to get wet. But the most pitiful one is actually my dearest Kuria. She came all the way back to save me but ended up being thrown into the pool as well and as result, her hp had spoilt! I felt so bad!

On another note, a big shoutout here to one of my bff since high school, Choo Sin Yee aka Piggy Choo! haha

*Happy Birthday Sin Yee*

Happy 20th birthday my dear friend. I hope you’ll stay pretty and cute always. I hope you like the perfume we gave you. It’s been so long since we last hang out together. I miss those good and fun times in school, in tuitions and hanging out together. I'm missing those good old days where we will make fun of ‘da-pao’, rushing off to tuitions, vomit and die together, St.john, and of course city square! Haha..I miss u so much piggy. The‘animal’ + SUMO gang rocks!!Miss you girls much! :)

And it was a super awesome, enjoyable and memorable one. I was pampered and showered with so much love the whole weekend right up to the day itself. So even though I don't have my family celebrating my birthday with me this year, I was not left lonely as I have a new bunch of 'family' aka awesome friends who took the effort to make my day a special and happy one.

My godbro, Ed came to find me a day before. Thinking that I'm all new to KL, he decided to bring me to the most famous landmark of our country, KLCC. More shopping as it’s the last day of mega sale. *wink*. My god bro bought me a cute schnauzer from Memory Lane. My 1st birthday gift..haha.

We then went for lunch at San Francisco steakhouse. I had smoked salmon spaghetti and Ed had lobster spaghetti. We enjoyed the lunch and the great soothing view of the park outside klcc. We hang out a little more shopping and window shopping around KLCC.

For dinner, godbro and I went to Shook at Starhill for dinner. And guess what? We saw Vannes Wu and Kang Ta at Times Square! Shook is a heaven to chill out with quiet dining atmosphere and they have life bands performing jazz. But unfortunately, the life band wasn’t performing that night. It was my first time there and as I flipped through the menu, I thought the name of this dish sounds interesting; ‘snow white dancing prawns’. In actual fact, it’s actually deep fried prawns with hot mayonnaise and it’s one of the best way to cook prawns. I mean I really really love that! Super nice. The menu was so thick we had a tough time going through it and deciding what to eat. Finally we settled for grilled salmon (yep, salmon again..i love salmons too! ), bbq chicken kebab and Japanese cheese nachos.

At the end of the day, I reached home at about a quarter to 1am and my whole house lights were already off. Thinking that everyone was asleep (though it’s a bit unusual for everyone to sleep so early), I went into the house quietly, taking care not to make too much noise. When I entered the house and switched on the lights, I saw my friends in a corner holding birthday muffins and they started singing happy birthday. I was so surprised and happy to see them waiting up for me just to celebrate my birthday. I felt so warmed that I wanna give each of them a hug. After the song, I tried blowing off the candles but the candles were really magical. The lights went off and came alive again and I had to blew it really hard. Only after the 6th or 7th time before it permanently died off..haha. Then it was time for the present and guess what I got? G-string! And not any normal one, but bright red furry one *faint*. Haha.. Kuria, Hui Fang, Kat, Sze wei, Jessie, Jing Wei, Jian Wei, Beng Siang, and Chun Wai..you ppl are too cute and creative. And that's not all. Kuria and Hui Fang stayed up to watched ‘My Super Ex-Girlfriend’ with me after the cutting cake just because it was my birthday. We felt the movie was super lame and we ended up only sleeping at 5.30am but I had a very wonderful time already. After all, it's the company that count, no? It's the first time ever anyone actually planned a surprise for me and it was a nice one really. I love surprises and they really caught me by surprised this time. :)

I cant exactly remember how I managed to pull myself out of bed at 7.30am that morning but well, I did but feeling all sleepy and panda-like. Sat through 2 hours of lectures but the exciting part was after class! haha. My friends suggested that we go hang out at Mid Valley to celebrate my birthday so together with Kuria, Hui Fang, Ming Siew, Suk Kuan, Sze Wei, Ee Yin, Su Sian, Jian Wei, Beng Siang, Victor and Deepesh, we went to watch ‘Snakes on A Plane’. It was not a horror movie but I hate reptiles and it just got my goose bumps standing. So me and Kuria was holding on to each other and we did let out a few screams in between laughter. And the guys just cant stop laughing at us,girls because they can't understand why are we screaming at a movie that is rated non-horror. tsk tsk. To wrap up my day, Ed brought me and Kuria to Hard Rock CafĂ© for dinner. We love their chicken and cheese macaroni but the nacho’s was way too much we couldn't finish it. While we were halfway through dinner though, someone sent me an invitation to play tic tac toe. At first, I don't quite understand why then Ed explained that it's one of those tactic guys used when they want to hit on a girl. haha!

I certainly had an amazing time and I felt really touched to know that so many cares. I like to say a super duper huge gigantic THANK YOU to Kuria, Hui Fang, Kat, Ming Siew, Sarah, May Vern, Su Sian, Ee Yin, Suk Kuan and Edward for the sleek and funky adidas bag, godbro Ed for ur dog, CD perfume and everything else, Aunty Anne, En and Bel for the wonderful dinner and beautiful flowers, Shirlyn, Chew Yen, Hwee Li, Norven, Sin Yee, Joyce and Ben for the cool roxy wallet, Sabrina and Li Fen for the funly tee, Victor for Haagen Daz, my pbl group for the yummy cheesecakes and Rosanne, Ming Eng, May Leen, Michelle, Luq, Roy, Stanley, Chong, Bryan H, Bryan G, Chee Meng, Charlene, Justin, Wui Woon, Yuet Ming, Mars, Ken, Cky, Sf, Quan, Calvin, everyone at home, Roe Jin, Stephen, Simon, godbro WY and every single one of u,(I’m sorry if I miss out your name but I really appreciate you too! ) for sparing your time remembering me on this special day and making my birthday such a wonderful one. I absolutely love you people!! *muacks*

Aloha everyone..welcome to my blog!

Finally i am starting my own blog after dely-dalying for so long..haha. I guessed it's at last a good time to start a blog since this is now a new chapter of my life as an undergraduate in university and I'll be living away from home for the next 5 years so blogging is a good way for me to share my new chapter to all my loved ones and friends far away.

So, perhaps why 'Fondue of Life'? I mean really, what does it mean at all? I'm sure we are all quite familiar with the chocolate fondue which is my current favourite food by the way. So my source of inspiration for my blog's name is actually derived from it! Only the fondue in this blog isn't flowing with yummy melting dark chocolates but the essence of life which we human will experience at different phases and stages of life. So as I dip into this fondue at different time of my life; walking and maturing through joy, sorrow, hardship, enjoyment, love and hurt, let this be my platform for growing, changing, sharing, ranting and de-stressing. Of course, this fondue will also be flowing with things close to my heart and I'm passionate about focusing perhaps more on food and travel (we'll see how things goes as I blog. :))

Well..it's 2.30 am now and i had class tomorrow at 8.30am..so i shd be in bed now instead of hanging around with my laptop in one of the most 'strategic' corner in my hse ( i leave it to u guys to guess the 'strategic' corner :p )..but i cant get to bed as im still waiting for my dinner to be digested. Yeah, me and some friends (Kat, HF, Jessie and JW) whipped up a fantastic dinner just now. Although it's actually pretty simple home-cooked food but living outside has made me realized that one can get so bored n tired of eating out so often that one simply crave for home-cooked food. So to those of u who gets to eat home-cooked food, don't complain..haha! I miss my mummy's cooking!

All we had were sweet n sour dory, some vegetables, abc soup, sausages n bake beans egg but all in super large portion (explaining why I still can't sleep). We spent almost three hours just preparing, cooking, eating, washing and cleaning up, so it's really time consuming to cook even simple meals.

*yawn* Alright, my bed is calling out to me already to go snug in it comfortably..hehe.

Anyway this is suppose to be only an introductory welcome post hence my apologies it turned out to be quite a ramble instead. Nonetheless I hope this blog will find it's circle of loves and you guys will enjoy reading my blog in future. Do leave comments and follow my blog too. And please pardon the wordy post. I'm still new to this whole blogging thing and is only beginning to click my way around so I promise I'll make my blog much more interesting (I hope) once I familiarize myself. God bless and good night everyone. :)
