Dallas...night-time pot-boiler returns! Was it all a dream?
Looking to stir up a bit of "soap" magic from the dust of yesteryear when cliff-hanging weekly series were all the rage (producer Aaron Spelling the master of 'em) TNT has announced their intention to resurrect the long-running hit "Dallas".
In its new incarnation, the "Dallas" saga (which previously focused on the oil business and two dueling brothers in the modern west) is slated to pick-up (more-or-less) where the crusty old storyline once left off.
Was the finale all a dream?
It's my guess!
Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy - both very long-in-the-tooth (and just-about retired in the saddle, too) have signed on (along with ever-popular Linda Gray) to play out the rough-and-tumble hi-jinks expected to unfold once again on the old boob tube the second time around.
There will be new cast members, too - namely - Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julia Gonzao, and Brenda Strong.
Although I am unfamiliar the actors who've been hired to play the conniving upstarts in the topsy-turvy world of the oil industry, I'll be tuning to determine for myself if there is any flesh left on the old bag of bones worth feasting on.
Later!
