Sporting cool fancy pants etched in a red check pattern - and teamed with yellow designer "t" - sexy pop crooner John Mayer struck up a pose as he unveiled a couple of catchy tunes from his new album on a morning Network show.
According to grizzly-faced Mayer, a myriad of life experiences were the inspiration that drove the poetic musical musings along.
During an interview with Matt Lauer (the co-host of the talk show which revs up at the crack-of- dawn) the popular sex symbol appeared to be leaning toward the role of "philosopher".
"I have learned that you shouldn't talk to see if you have something to say," he chuckled .
Was he slyly referring to the tendency to open up his yap in the past - without thinking about the ramifications - which has landed him in hot water consistently in the rocky past?
If you recall, running off at-the-mouth about intimate scorching sexual relations with sweetheart Jessica Simpson (between-the-sheets) caused many to burn their CD's (well, not quite) and label the scandalous "kiss 'n tell" stage performer a cad.
But, there is still a lot respect for Mayer, the artist.
Starting with his distincive gravelly voice.
The excited female fans in the front rows didn't find the dude difficult to take a gander at either!
"Artists feel insigniicant when they're not doing art," he confided to a slightly balding Lauer.
"The creation provides an identity," he summed up.
And, I expect a healthy libido, the swagger in a man.
