Executives at BP - insiders, too - swore up-and-down all day that Tony Hayward was not only - "in-like-Flynn" - but would also stride into a Board Meeting tomorrow with head held high.

Tonight, the latest scuttlebutt was racing around the globe.
Tony Hayward got the boot!
According to sources close to the checkbook, Mr. Hayward's "deal" will be on the table tomorrow and in the spotlight for close scrutiny.
At press time, it was duly noted that Tony Hayward would walk with a generous package, which would include a pension, bonus, you name it.
I expect there'll be a lynch mob down in front of the BP Executive Offices ready to tar-and-feather the incompetent, greedy Exec, for a proper send-off.
