Stephen Hawking...mathematician's notions on Aliens preposterous! Human knee-jerk reaction...
The opinions of Stephen Hawking - the genius mathematician - triggered a few shock waves on the Internet over the weekend when a couple of his theories on the subject of alien life forms were published on a myriad of websites.
From a mathematical standpoint, Mr. Hawking was inclined to take a bold stand, and assert that there was a strong likelihood that humans were not alone in the Universe.
While I agree with that assumption, I found fault with his notion that aliens should be avoided, because they would probably be hostile.
On the contrary, last year - I received a message (which I penned a post on) - in which I was informed that alien life forms often travel through our corner of the galaxy with nary a thought about conquering the human race (or even nodding a polite hello).
In that post, I also published a map of the night sky, where the intelligent beings hail from.
Because Mr. Hawking is a respected scientist, with a brilliant mind (and proven track record), folks flock to his lectures and give a lot of credence to his theories.
In this instant case, for the most part, it appears that Hawking has been screening too many Hollywood features on space invaders.
Also, his bizarre idea that aliens might be squiggly monster-like beings, are totally wild in nature.
Senility must be setting in!
It appears that Mr. Hawking can’t differentiate between what is real and what is sheer fantasy.
Rest assured, the human race does not have to fear a threat of attack from outer space.
I have it on high authority!
Now, I think I’ll go rent a copy of Ed Wood's - Plan 9 From Out Space - and have a good laugh!
