San Francisco...Cherry Blossom Festival! Japantown April 10-11th!








The 43rd Annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off this weekend.

The  event runs April 10th thru 11th & April 17th thru 18th in downtown San Francisco.


The US-JAPAN Choral Festival is slated for Friday April 9th.

The exotic Asian tradition attracts about 150,000 visitors.

Expect exquisite foral displays that showcase the art of flower arrangements - which ultimately  reflect - one of the myriad facets of the ancient Japanese culture.

The festival will be held on Post between Laguna & Fillmore.

The 4-day event (spread over two separate weekends) promises to be quite entertaining.

There will be food booths offering up culinary delights, costumed performances, martial arts, and live bands.

The annual Queen Program gets underway on Saturday April 10th.

The Grand Parade will be held on April 18th.

The colorful procession begins at City Hall & ends up in Japantown.
