Blue Angels...Fleets in! San Francisco air show today!
On Thursday, those in-the-dark - were taken by surprise - when the windows began to rattle ferociously and a formation of jets streaked across open skies out-of-the-blue.
At the tail end of the week, pilots were daringly engaging in full-throttle practice runs, and gearing up for dazzling air shows slated for the Columbus Day weekend.
Most of the locals were delighted to be privy to the sneak preview, though a handful of sticks-in-the-mud - as usual - were inclined to put in a call to city officials to voice their disapproval.
“My baby’s trying to sleep,” one unhappy parent wailed selfishly.
For the most part - San Franciscans are proud to host the annual Blue Angel’s “jet extravaganza” - which consists of fly-bys in diamond formations, roll-overs, breath-taking free-falls, breakneck solo stunt captures - and what-have-you.
Around town, there’s been quite a Navy presence, too.
A posse of ram-rod straight officers - outfitted in standard issue blues - have been swarming about the city core causing quite a few hearts to go pitter-patter.
Ah, there’s something about a man (or woman!) in a uniform, alright.
Today, the third day of Blue Angel hysteria continues.
