San Francisco...racist Hyatt Hotel doorman harasses white tourists! Shocking conduct...

Racist doorman at Hyatt harasses white tourists!

Martin Luther King's "dream" a nightmare in America!

Today, I witnessed a shocking event at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown San Francisco at the Embarcadero Center.

A tourist to the area strolled up to the driveway of the Hyatt in search of the lobby where he was to meet a friend for breakfast.

Just as he was about to enter a revolving door, a tall Afro-American Doorman strode up to him and snarled in a gruff demeaning voice:

"Where are you going?"

Although the white tourist was a bit put-off by the doorman's rude insulting manner, he politely noted that he was there to meet a friend in the lobby, and then proceeded upstairs.

As the patient young man (who happens to be a very well-known person in North America) waited for
his friend to appear, he suddenly noticed that the doorman had followed him up the escalator and was now watching his every move and treating him like he was a criminal (or up to no good, at least).

The gentleman became annoyed by the harassment, walked over to the doorman, and noted in so many words that he did not appreciate being glared at or treated so disrespectfully.

When the individual noted that the Hotel was probably going to receive some negative publicity over the incident - instead of admitting his error and apologizing - the Doorman yelled at the guest to get out of the Hotel!!!

Can you imagine that?

Onlookers in the lobby stared on in shock (for the most part, they were aware of who the mistreated tourist was) and shook their heads in total disbelief.

How could the Hyatt ever hire such an incompetent ill-mannered individual such as this?

It was obvious at this point that the doorman didn't care, and that he was a racist out to harass and annoy white folks, to boot.

After witnessing this disturbing event, it is doubtful that I will ever be able to recommend that any tourist, businessman (anyone!) ever patronize the Hyatt Hotels ever again.

San Francisco, in my eyes, has just been reduced to a destination travel spot worthy of 1 1/2 stars!

Amen!

Footnote
After the incident, the Afro-American Doorman walked over to another Afro-American Doorman on duty and they had a big laugh over the incident.
Revolting behaviour!
