24 star snubs Slash bash!
Courtney musters up a knock-out performance!
Tongues wagged in Vegas this weekend when Keifer Sutherland was a "no show" at the Slash bash Friday night at the Bare Pool Lounge (Mirage).
Sutherland was slated take on MC duties for the 20th anniversary celebration which was a sold-out hit with rock 'n roll fans.
Golly, I hope my post announcing the event - and the titillating publicity still of Sutherland which accompanied it - didn't give the 24 star cold feet at the last minute.

Maybe Keifer is still facing some inner demons?
If you recall, several months ago was busted for a DUI (@ La Cienega & Beverly in WeHo) after a night of partying at the Arena which rustled up a lot of bad publicity for the once-naughty actor who now prefers a squeaky-clean image post "24" celebrity.
Just maybe, Keifer was worried about "triggers" knocking him off the wagon?
Not to worry, dude!
Coincidentally - during a Q & A session after the screening of "Rock Prophecies" at the Mirage on Saturday afternoon (a post shall be forthcoming on the event in the next couple of days) - celebrated rock photographer - Robert M. Knight - noted in an intimate chat that Slash (a personal friend) was a "pillar of strength" these days for his rocker pals facing sobriety.
He would have been there for 'ya, Keifer.
Courtney Love, on the other hand, show - and subsequently - wowed the thrilled ticket-holders with a set which included a riveting performance of Hole's "Celebrity Skin" and a rousing rendition of Cheap Trick's "Surrender" (with Rick Neilson and Slash (!) backing up on guitar).
The big mystery of the night?
Why did Courtney Love tote her purse on stage and plunk it down at her feet under a watchful eye while she was performing on stage?
Security bad at the Mirage, perhaps?
Some speculated there may have been a "stash" inside.
What say, you?
Inquiring minds want to know, after all!
