Ellen DeGeneres...frenzied flurry of hits crashes spanish language Twitter site

Looks like Ellen has either signed on for Spanish lessons, or has been learning a few succinct phrases Latino friends and business associates.

In a tweet over the weekend, the congenial talk-show host (with the pretty wife), became a member of the Spanish version of  Twitter (known as Birddi) and voila - oops! that's French, right? - got so many hits that the web site crashed!

According to stats, the blond comedienne was the most "followed" that day, alright.

That  ¡Hola, amigos Ellen keyed in from her keyboard sure packed a whallop, eh?

Si!

By the way, handsome actor Jimmy Smits (LA LAW) appeared on The Ellen Show this week to discuss a documentary he's involved with on Latin Music.

In the spirit of the moment, Jimmy was inclined to teach Ellen some sexy salsa moves.

Well, Howard, we all know how much she loves to dance, eh?

OMG, nearly forgot!

Ellen has a new entertaining segment on the afternoon talk fest:

"I think you can dance".

With tongue-in-cheek, presumably, Ellen intends to invite losers from "that other"  think you can dance show to strut their stuff over at her network.

Take a gander at Bryan Boyer's clip!
