Lady Gaga...banned from Yankee clubhouse? Give blue finger to Mets!

Come Wednesday, baseball fans are expected to go wild - as they scramble for a blue foam hand - at the upcoming Yankees game vs. the Tigers, thanks to Lady Gaga.

The sideshow - being billed as the "Go Gaga for Wright" campaign - came about in a round-about way.

On Friday, scantily-clad in a pinstrip color or two, the ubiquitious Pop Icon sashayed past security and into the Yankee's clubhouse where she mingled with the studly athletes much to the chagrin of the frenzied paparazzi.

The media, normally-allowed inside the clubhouse ten minutes after the final pitch, were held back for some inexplicable reason.

Insiders fessed up that Yankees co-chairman Hal Steinbrenner was furious that night over - what was categorized as - an overt sexual tease in the clubhouse.

Allegedly, the Pop Diva left little to the imagination in half-buttoned Yankee Jersey and string-bikini-bottom, as she guzzzled-down whiskey and fondled her chest suggestively in full-view of the horndogs in the locker room.

On the hells of the tawdry display, Hal Steinbrenner, permanently banned Gaga from the team's clubhouse.

"Lady Gaga is still welcome at Yankee Stadium, but just not in the clubhouse. Especially not after a loss," one source confided.

"She's not banned," Yankees GM Brian Cashman confirmed yesterday.

"Celebrities aren't banned. If Michael Jordan showed up here he would have access."

Gaga has been taking a leisurely moment or two - of late - to savor a baseball game or two.

The chart-topper - a Yankees fan - caused a stir when she attended a Mets-Padres game (June 10th)  at Citi Field and gave a spirited impromptu finger to Mets fans.

It was a Eureka moment for the marketing team at the Yankee clubhouse.

The Mets designated Wednesday's game verses the Tigers:

"Go Gaga for Wright Night"

The tongue-in-cheek event was fathomed up as a  campaign for third baseman David Wright's election into the National League All-Star team.

The first 20,000 fans through the gates will receive a blue foam hand with the index finger extended - "the best finger" (according to a TV commercial for the promotion) - and the heady words - "Make Wright #1" - etched on its face.

See 'ya there!
