The Clash...a thrill a second! Action-thriller must-see for Martial Arts fans...

Normally, I am not inclined to snap up a ticket for a Martial Arts Film, especially not one with English subtitles that requires that I manipulate my motor skills at break-neck speed to ensure I don't miss any juicy detail.

The Buzz on "The Clash" was so persistent, though, that I actually hung out in line with all the regular folks to catch the flick.

The foreign film did not disappoint!

Within minutes, the intense action-thriller revved into high gear, hauling the captive audience along for a delicious heart-pounding wild ride.

The Martial Arts Masters didn't hold back - in fact - on one occasion the fight scenes were so realistic and gut-wrenching that filmgoers cried out unexpectedly in the dark below the footlights.

Ugh!

Movie buffs found it difficult to suppress their emotions (and raw responses) as the lead characters also chewed their way through a a dozen-or-two henchmen in about two seconds flat (in the eye-popping opening scenes) and spat 'em out without ruffling their chic designer threads.

When a bit of witty unexpected off-the-wall dialgoue interspersed with the high drama - the ambitious "Clash" - soared into Classic Film heaven.

Unlike some U.S. action-adventure features, the actors were able to keep the ticket-holders on the edge of their plush seats with - mind-boggling thrilling jabs, kicks, head-butts, and lethal spins - which were jarringly realistic.

The gang-leader (with the unlikely name of Phoenix) captivated fans with her strident, dangerous, sensual persona.

The male stud who played opposite her, turned in a remarkably gritty performance, that is bound to nab him International stature and rustle up a roster of film projects to keep his lithe powerful bod in action for a decade or so.

The soundtrack was phenomenal!

Frankly, I was so mesmerized, I didn't want the film to end!

I'll be there for the sequel, 'fer sure.

Now, if they could only sign on Angelina Jolie, to make way for a naughty Martial Arts three-way!

Kinky, I know!
