Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup...Eva Longoria Parker, Leyla Milani, Heart-throb Adrian Bellani & Gene Simmons strut red carpet fundraiser!

Sexy "Passions" Soap Stud!

Maria Conchita Alonso posed on the hood of a hot rod recalling the glamour days of Hollywood in the 50's, Tony Parker - the MBA star athlete - played the dutiful husband at the side of his elegantly-dressed other-half, and Gene Simmons (Kiss) was cool as a cucumber as he scanned the landscape from behind ubiquitous dark shades.

The red carpet event they were in attendance for was kicking-off the high-profile celebrity "Rally for Kids with Cancer" Scavenger hunt (May 2nd) in tandem with a chi-chi cocktail party to launch the affair at the Tropicana Poolside Lounge at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Amid the upscale tony environs of the old world charm of the Roosevelt Hotel (where the 1st Oscar celebration was held decades ago) it was down to the wire for potential qualifiers (highest fund-raisers) who would learn if they'd be navigating snazzy roadsters 'round the sunny climbs of Southern California and with whom.

Christina DeRosa (Sex Chronicles) was keen on a red BMW for her joy-ride today.

When her handler spied me in the press corps he dashed over.

"Julian, good to see you. Christina, look who's here!"

Ms. DeRosa sashayed up in a stunning royal blue cocktail dress, exquisite matching heels, and understated - but elegant - jewellery to spark up the look.

Normally, the rising star on the Hollywood scene tends to wrap herself up in outfits that overwhelm her petite figure with flourishes in all the wrong places.

Tonight, she was a dazzling fashion plate.

Kudos!

The dynamic duo invited me to take exclusive photos of the talented actress, as she posed in her high-end European sports car, much to the envy of a handful of newsies who strained to get a gander from afar.

Shannon Tweed literally clung to the arm of Gene Simmons as they slowly sauntered down the gauntlet chatting up aggressive media types pining for exclusives.

Although Ms. Tweed was all smiles and full of grace, she appeared to be a bit restrained.

Tall lady!

In spite of it, she tottered on spiffy spike-heels, the epitome of the statuesque blond.

Unlike the bevy of beauties in tow last evening, Tweed chose to downplay her sexual persona.

Indeed, exposed naked flesh was kept to a minimum.

Even still, her busty appeal was not lost on any of the paparazzi on the carpet who snapped away furiously, anyway.

Stephen Baldwin was dapper in a designer jacket and dress slacks with accessories in muted peacock colors that accentuated his individual style.

"You look like a business man," I quipped amid the frenzied hub-bub that was revving up by the second all around us.

He turned to his side-kick and laughed.

Moments earlier, he mentioned his brief stint on "The Apprentice", I was able to segue into chatter about his relationship with Gene.

"I caught a couple of those scenes with Simmons. Was that play-acting? At times, things got a little volatile, didn't they?"

Anxious to smooth over the waters - especially in view of the fact Gene who just a hop-and-a-skip away - he assured me that he "loved" Gene and they were the best of buds.

By the way, Baldwin raised $30,000.00 for the charity to date, which means he'll probably be roaring down the speedway ahead of a couple of the other star participants in the charity rally for kids @ the Los Angeles Children's Hospital today.

I asked the star of "Fly Boys" how he came to be a born-again Christian.

"Was there an epiphany of sorts or did the commitment to the Lord happen gradually over time?"

"It was a prophecy revealed years ago in Brazil," he noted for the record.

"By a priest, divine intervention, or a mystical event," I wondered aloud.

No, a humble old woman was the bearer of the good news.

"We later brought her over to America to be our Nanny."

Sheila E - percussionist, songwriter, performer - trotted down the runway in a God-awful black & white bold-patterned floor-length gown which was a total fashion disaster.

I felt embarrassed for her in that regard, but couldn't help but notice there was an aura about her that was all sweetness and light and spiritual in nature.

Speaking of music, Robin Antin - the composer/lyricist who founded "The Pussycat Dolls" and "Girilicious" - bounced up to chat.

E-gads!

Maybe she's a maestro in the creative department, but her skin cried out for a total make-over - a dollop of moisturizer - at least.

Her "look" was a little out-dated too.

In contrast, Adrian Bellani took me aback.

Gosh, he was prettier than most of the starlets tripping-the-light fantastic last evening.

The "Passions" actor is about six one or six two and boasts a buffed build (even in a tailored dress suit a chiseled torso is bound to hint at what lurk beneath) with lustrous dark hair, strong jaw, and luminous penetrating eyes.

Star quality all the way!

Another electric shockwave streaked through the crowd when game-show host Leyla Milani strutted along the star-studded walkway.

Ms. Milani's bubbly personality - and oozing sensuality - surfaced as she dished with a female reporter or two amid the madding crowd.

A knock-out babe without any pretensions at all.

Deal!

Mario - singer-songwriter - did a quick sprint along the long line of paparazzi at the tail end of the celebrity arrivals.

Did nothing for me!

Ad nauseam, the beefy performer was inclined to respond to questions with pat answers, or utter up cute little press releases tailored to elude each question that sniffed too-close to home.

For the most part, the night had been glamorous and exotic under the whispering palms in the well-manicured garden of the grand old lady that is the Roosevelt Hotel, until out-of-the-blue soft wet flakes of snow drifted down from stormy clouds above without warning.

It's a wrap!

As they say at Warner Brothers, that's all folks!

Maria Conchita Alonso a riot of personality on red carpet!
