The word is out!
The California Supreme Court intends to announce their ruling on Proposition 8 and their subsequent decision on Gay Marriage in California early next week.
Impatient activists, gays pining to legally marry - and those vehemently opposed to unions between same-sex partners - may be pleased to hear that they need not wait until the afternoon's breaking news to learn their fate, though.
My sources have informed me that the the Justices will post their opinion (and subsequent ruling on the gay-marriage issue) on the Court's website bright early at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26th (2009).
I expect the bedraggled Jurists are afraid to appear publicly to announce their landmark decision - for fear either side might pelt 'em with rotten eggs - or worse!
No, the ruckus may come later in the day, when a rally takes place at 7 p.m. in West Hollywood (the heart of gay gulch) at the corner of St. Vicente and Santa Monica Boulevard.
Will revellers be hoisting up rainbow banners in joyous celebration or belting out a teary-eyed version of "We Shall Overcome"?
News at 11.
These signs started popping up around West Hollywood this morning!
