The other day I was taken aback when I came across a street urchin wading in a fountain in the neighborhood - plucking up coins that people tossed in while conjuring up a heartfelt wish or two.
It gave me pause to wonder...
Does that mean the yearnings of those innocent folks won't come true?
Or, has the thoughtless thief just made off with the wishes of those romantic few?
I shudder to think what kind of bad karma will descend on the poor fellow.
Personally, I'd rather not tempt fate.
However, Jonas Salk once opined,
“There is hope in dreams, imagination, and in the courage of those who wish to make those dreams a reality.”
