Miguel Tejada was being hailed as the Giants’ hero of the day when his two-RBI double in the bottom of the ninth gave the win to the World Champions at AT & T ballpark yesterday evening.
The fans roared in the packed stands as the golden boys in ubiquitous black & orange gear jumped for joy over the first series victory of the season.
When the stardust settled on the green the score was 3-2 in favor of the Giants!
In sum, it was the crowning glory to a fabulous day down at China Basin, that totally wowed the packed house.
Earlier in the day, the players were trotted out onto the field to snap up their diamond-encrusted World Championship rings, while a posse of glassy-eyed sports reporters gazed on in awe.
Uh-huh!
The dazzling ceremony – rife with pomp and circumstance - even managed to cause a sniffle or two from the normally-jaded-few in attendance.
I reported on those frenzied festivities earlier this morning.

Meanwhile, the Giants are in-play right now - as I pen this post - on their home turf fighting for their second title once again.
Will the sizzling-hot winning streak continue in the picturesque city by the Bay tonight?
News at 11!
