Twitter...take a hike says Boise State Football coach! What a twit...

Twit @ Boise State causes tweeters to titter!

Obviously, a grid iron enthusiast strapped on his jock strap too tight.

Why else would the blood be restricted from flowing to his brain?

Say what?

You figure it out.

The Idaho Statesman has reported that the Boise State coach - Chris Petersen - banned players from posting on Twitter for the duration of the football season.

Why, pray tell, did the Twitter craze  incur his wrath?

According to Petersen, posting on the social networking hub, is a distraction the team doesn't need.

My knee-jerk reaction?

What a twit!

A competent coach - with an ounce or two of football savvy - is what they truly need.

And, a lift on the ban, San Francisco-style!

Angelina Jolie...scoops up Twitter slot! No tweets or tweeters, please...

The latest News Flash out of Twitter-ville?

Angelina Jolie has signed up for Twitter!

But, don't expect the glamorous jet-set gal (usually with a slew of well-heeled kiddies in tow) to follow!

Jolie snapped up the twitter slot for "Angelina Jolie" to prevent any imposters from passing themselves off as Brad's better half.

The altruistic-minded beauty - who tends to glide like an Angel high above the pettiness of silly tweets 'n all - plans to utilize the twitter forum to promote charitable causes close to her heart.

The Tattler will be keeping tabs on you and those, Angie!

Barack Obama...slip up about "Twitter" jolts the blogosphere!

Although the President confessed today that he has a profile - on possibly the No. 1 social hub on the Internet (wonder what his handle is?) - it appears that Barack hasn't quite fathomed how the web site functions.

Least of all, what to call it.

Uh-huh!

In a strident speech this afternoon, the President referred to the pop culture phenomenon as "Twitters."

OMG!

The very thought of the President's continued failure to register the correct name (Twitter) in the memory banks of his little grey cells - after cruising to the titillating twitter hotspot - gives me the jitters.

Barack should take up crossword puzzles - after all - according to researchers the nifty little word quiz will keep the mind sharp.
It causes one to pause and wonder.

What is the Prez "overlooking" in a slew of important documents he affixes his John Henry to without-batting-an-eye in spite of the fact that little flourish of the pen may seriously impact Americans on a grand scale.

Twitter...over capacity for 2 hours! Boo Hoo! No tweet on Pattison cock tease!

Gosh, it's been two long-drawn-out testy hours, and still no Tweetville in sight!

According to a web site dialogue box at twitter, the popular social hub is over capacity.

And, thus, I have not been able to tweet juicy gossip about Robert Pattinson the cock tease!

Or, get the jump on Twilight's exciting plot twist in Eclipse.

Oh, well.

Ashton Kutcher...dethroned as King of Tweets! Audience goes wild on Ellen set...

The audience reaction when he stepped on stage - wild screams and applause that pierced the ears - that it caused Kutcher to quip:

"It would be great to have sex and have someone stand up and cheer like that," he joked.

"That does't happen now," Ellen quizzed.

"No, it doesn't," he almost mumbled.

Ellen chirped that she wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of folks from her audience would be willing to do that..

Kutcher sported a fluffy cut (Justin Bieber eat your heart out), exuded a boyish charm, and was oozing with sex appeal.

At a recent chi chi function, Kutcher wailed that he was put off by Sarah Palin.

For starters, he denounced her book as unprofound. arah Palin's.

Allegedly, the former Ice Queen,  talked non-stop about the military and the "little people" which was a turn-off to Kutcher.

Although a fan of PRICE (who performed at the same high-profile event), he also expressed his frustration over the fact the Pop Idol rarely ever performed his hits - like Purple Rain - preferring to jam with the band for two (yawn) hours.

Ellen agreed with Demi's better-half.

"They don't like to sing the hits that we love them for," Ellen astutely noted.

Mr. Kutcher looked "sharp" in a tasteful tailored jacket, paired with dress slacks, thin black tie, and pristine white shirt with correctly knotted at the collar.

"So, you're King of the tweets," marvelled Ellen amid applause from the audience.

"I got dethroned," Ashton uttered up with a tinge of frustration in his voice.

Ellen probed a little further but came up empty-handed.

"I'd rather not talk about it."

So, they didn't.

Twitter...incompetent tech staff unable to fix log-in problem!

Bullsh**
(Twitter tech staff make it difficult)

They must be asleep at the wheel at Twitter - or just maybe - their technical support team have no skills when it comes to correcting log-in problems at the social hub site.

A few days ago, I published a post noting that I was unable to log in to Twitter, and that I was forced to zip off an e-mail to the technical support team for assistance.

Post:  02/15/10

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/02/twitterno-tweets-for-me-site-glitch.html

As I noted in the original post, I received an automated response first, in which Twitter staff informed me that that they assigned a ticket No. to the issue  and that they'd get back to me after they investigated further.

Sure enough, two hours later, I received an e-mail in which Twitter fessed up that there was definitely a technical problem and that they would get right on it.

Today, I was quite perplexed when I received an e-mail from Twitter, informing me that the ticket was closed.

One problemo!

After five days, and no apparent action on Twitter's part, I still can't log in!

How difficult is it to fix a log-on glitch?

The Twitter CEO - who boasts about the excellence of his staff and the Twitter social hub - obviously needs to get off the publicity trail (and a**) and take a second look in his own back yard.

Incompetent staff - and computer glitches - are hurting the credibility and reliability of the service!

Is it a wonder that people often refer to twitter as a rinky-dink outfit with limited capacity to compete with the big guns like google, facebook, yahoo, and the like?

Frankly, I'm disgusted.

No very tweet at all, folks!

Kenny Loggins...a good sport! Follows in spite of plastic surgery post...

Kenny in his Christ phase!

When I inputted my password and user ID, I spied the twitter alert right off-the-bat, and chuckled heartily.

Kenny Loggins was now following me according to a twitter tweet!

What a good sport.

You see, because of a round-about turn-of-events last week, I ended up penning a post about rumors that the handsome musician may have had a nip and a tuck here 'n there in recent days.

It all started off innocently enough.

A contact of mine at Universal Music Group e-mailed me a promo about Kenny's new CD.

The brief upbeat communication provided me with a link so that I could take a gander at the trailer released to bolster the promo.

In response, I dashed off a post, so that fans of Loggins could check it out.

A day later, when I cruised back to the link site (Amazon.com) to verify pertinent information, I spied a comment in the dialogue box below which surprised me.

A reader snidely remarked that Kenny was obviously having trouble performing his single because of "alleged" plastic surgery which was purportedly restricting his facial muscles when warbling for the camera.

Ouch!

I fired back a comment, and noted that when I first screened the video, there didn't appear to be anything particularly unusual (or slightly out-of-whack) about the image appearing on the screen.

Upon closer scrutiny, when I surfed back to the site - however - I have to admit the texture of Kenny's skin was a bit raw-looking and taut around the edges of his facial features, if you get my gist.

"Maybe he downed a couple of drinks before the shoot," I teased.

Or, went a tad overboard with a skin peel?

Well, that got the rumor mills rollin', so-to-speak.

In fact, when I checked the blog stats at the WordPress site the following morning, I was elated to discover that the post reporting the skinny on Kenny nabbed an astounding number of unique hits overnight!

Meanwhile, the comments kept coming, too.

One fan quipped that Kenny was looking a lot like that other Kenny - ah - what's his name?

Yeah, Rogers!

I laughed out loud.

My comment back?

Which Kenny Rogers?

The first one (pre-surgery) or the second one?

In spite of the unflattering quips, Kenny (Loggins) - who obviously caught wind of the post - signed up to follow me on Twitter in the wake of waves of titillating gossip that started surfing up on blog shores around the Internet.

So, tit-for-tat - and with a Chesire grin on my own (untouched) chinny chin chin - I started to follow the easy-going popular musician on the musical landscape (and elsewhere).

Suppose by next week, we'll be thick as thieves, doing duets around the country.

Who knows?

Welcome aboard, Kenny.

Victor Borge said it best:

"Laughter is the shortest distance between two people."

Twitter...Ellen DeGeneres tweets gifts! Good gal to follow...

For those of you who toil away in the afternoon at work and don't have the opportunity to sneak a peak at America's favorite token "lesbo" talk-show host, be forewarned.

Unless you tweet, you'll be left out in the dark when it comes to "treats".

Yup, from my Divine Divan one lazy afternoon, I caught one segment of the Ellen Show in which the quirky dresser announced to the rapt audience that she was going to use her Twitter-time to gift viewers and tweeters alike.

To demonstrate, the ball*y comedian broadcast a small clip which captured three young ladies turning up at a bus shop to snatch up tickets for the show which Ellen & her staff planted there, before a random tweet invited adventurers to scout 'em down.

A lone woman turned up at the location within minutes of the tweet going out.

She proceeded to slyly search the drop-off area on the down-low to ensure she didn't tip off any other contestants as to the possible whereabouts of the coveted prize.

As luck would have it, on the heels of her arrival, she spied two excited ladies scurrying down the street in her direction, so she was forced to abandon ship and nonchalantly drifted off out-of-sight with the obvious intention to return.

Not a smart move!

The two aggressive interlopers spotted the tickets in a jiffy!

And, ended up on Ellen's afternoon show.

The perky blond has a gaggle of hilarious off-beat ideas that tickle my funny - um - bone.

For instance, she conjured up a delicious scheme to ensure that pesky adverts that fly out from inside the pages of slick magazines don't end up littering the streets.

"Replace the flyers with money," she giggled.

The audience roared!

Now, if she could only manage to sell Publisher's Clearing house on the idea.

Hang in there, dreamboat!

As to me, well, I would be remiss if I did not admit that Ellen's dance segments drive me batty!

Portia's better-half isn't cool-lookin' at all when she trips-the-light fantastic across the stage and up into the aisles on a wing and a prayer.

If you ask me, the men's clothing she sports each day, may be restricting her rhythm (and menstrual flow, quite possibly, ya know?)

Portia, get her out to Arthur Murray's, pronto!

Well, I gotta go.

Who knows, maybe the engaging TV personality will be tweeting about a nifty party she's throwing @ Pink's in Hollywood - with free hot dogs and all the trimmings - since an HD Video I just shot there revealed her pretty little face beaming down from one wall on the tables below.

I feel a tweet coming on.

See 'ya there!

Twitter...Caesar's Palace following moi! What, me a whale?

Golly, one of my favorite luxury Casinos in Las Vegas in now following me on Twitter!

And, I'm not even a "whale".

What would the powers-that-be on high think if they discovered that I've been plying my coins away in their lowly penny slot machines?

Just betcha, I'd get the heave-ho.

Notwithstanding, personally I feel right at home whenever I stroll through Caesar's Palace, and for good reason.

Avid readers of my blog may recall that in a previous post, I noted I may have been Julian 1st (Flavius Claudius) in a past life.

Post:

09/25/2008

So, whenever I step into the Forum it's kind-of-like a flash of deja vu, if you get my drift!

More importantly, now that I'm on management's radar, maybe I'll be able to rustle up some front-row seats to a dynamite show or weasel my way into an elegant suite @ rock-bottom prices!

Hail Caesar!

Shannon Tweed tweets...Gene Simmons Family Jewels premieres June 7th!

A short while ago, Shannon noted in a tweet that Gene Simmons Family Jewels was picked up for a fifth season.

In-between tweets on house-shopping in Santa Barbara - and a confession now and then about a little pampering at chi chi day spas - there were occasional tidbits about shooting schedules as the popular show positioned itself to broadcast for the new season.

In an update yesterday, Shannon cheerfully announced that the premiere episode would be unveiled on June 7th on the A&E Channel (Sophie's Sweet Sixteen).

I cruised over to the A&E website and discovered that - prior to the big night - fans have the opportunity to toss their two cents worth in.

Yup, AETV.com is inviting viewers to vote on their favorite episode of Family Jewels.

Once the tally is complete, the top five episodes selected, will air on A&E on Sunday June 7th as a lead into the Season Four premiere of Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

The Fifteen "runner-up" episodes chosen will be streamed on AETV.com June 5 to June 7.

And, that's good news for die-hard fans, who will be treated to a full weekend of rip-roaring Gene Simmons Family Jewels entertainment.

Vote:

Shannon, thanks for that!

Imagine that!

Twitter members are unable to access the site right now.

Too many tweets have clogged the arteries!!!

Yoko Ono...tweets for social & political causes! A call for submissions for Fluxhibition # 3 in Fort Worth...

Yoko is a real whirlwind!

Daily her "tweets" fly into my update box @ Twitter and I am constantly astounded at her involvement in so many worthy causes.

Today, there is a plea for the release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, for instance.

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is the leader of the opposition party in Myanmar - the National League for Democracy - and has been detained for 13 of the past 19 years (house arrest).

Recently, Suu Kyi reignited criticism of the military junta - and ultimately - a call from world leaders for her immediate release.

In March 2009, the U.N. Working Group on arbitrary detention lamented that the detention of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi violated both international law and Myanmar’s domestic legislation.

My sources say the current order for detention is set to expire on May 27 (2009).

Yoko, and others, have jumped on the bandwagon to ensure the wrongful acts against Suu Kyi come to a peaceful end.

Please pledge your support, if possible!

In another tweet, Yoko invited artists to submit their work for an upcoming exhibition to be held in Fort Worth, Texas.

The show has an intriguing title!

"International Fluxhibition # 3"

The novel show will focus on an exhibition of - Fluxus Boxes, Cases, Kits & Containers - which will be crafted by a handful of contemporary Fluxus Artists.

Yoko noted there won't be any jury selection process.

In fact, all pieces submitted, will be accepted.

Deadline for submissions: June 30th (2009)

Fluxhibition # 3 will consist of Fluxus Boxes, Kits, Cases and/or Fluxus Objects.

The art display will be held in July at The University of Texas in Arlington (TX).

Submitted works will become part of the permanent collection of the FluxMuseum (fluxmuseum.org) and included in future exhibitions as well.

A catalogue will be produced for the show and available for purchase after the exhibit.

A great promotion for the artists, eh?

In addition, images of all the fluxus renderings will go on permanent exhibit at the FluxMuseum web site after the art show closes.

Instructions

1) Create a Fluxus box, case, or kit using a classic theme or one new.
2) Send Fluxboxes, Fluxcases & Fluxobjects by June 30th (2009).
3) Attend the show in person if you can .
4) Write or contribute a related essay for the catalogue.
5) When catalogues go on sale, buy one.
6) Support the cause!

When "tweets" of interest pop up out-of-the-blue from Yoko, I'll be sure to pass the fascinating artist's info along!

Shannon Tweed...tweets with me! Heh, don't tell Gene...

There's something about a woman with a cigar!

I was pleasantly surprised to receive an e-mail over the weekend informing me that statuesque beauty - Shannon Tweed - was now following me on Twitter!

A few weeks ago, our paths crossed at the Roosevelt Hotel, when Ms. Tweed & Gene Simmons appeared on the red carpet to show their support for a "Rally" to raise funds for the Los Angeles Children's Hospital.

In spite of the fact my new HD Video camera was fresh out-of-the-box that afternoon, and I was frantically trying to fathom how to operate the amazing gizmo, I managed to capture a handsome shot of the winsome twosome which I proudly posted on YouTube that night for the madding crowds to peruse.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSZUVWKkP78

By the way, eyes light up when I preview the clip for friends & acquaintances around town, so maybe I am on the right track creatively with my insightful "third" eye.

Of course, turn-about is fair play, so I cruised over to the Twitter home base of operations (and with the sweep of a deft finger) ceremoniously tapped Shannon's - um - "follow" button, too.

Now, I can keep track of Shannon's "tweets" without the need for a press release.

Thought I would get up to speed on the actresses' scuttlebutt, so I perused a couple of the latest updates.

I nearly fell out of my armchair when she noted in one post she'd just been in Las Vegas!

Golly, I just cruised back from "Sin" city bright and early yesterday morning.

Do you suppose we passed each other in traffic on Highway 15?

I was in a black SUV.

But, I expect that Ms. Tweed was in a sleek limousine.

A white one, just betcha!

I was really impressed when Gene's better-half casually mentioned she zipped in to say hi to "Hef" when she was in town.

I don't know many people - in fact, no one - on a first-name basis with the Playboy King!

However, I do have one small connection with the trail-blazing pioneer from yesteryear.

For example, I reported in a post a few months ago that one of the first modelling gigs I landed in Hollywood was through an agent at Playboy Models which was located on Sunset Boulevard in its early heyday.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2008/10/hollywoodmy-first-job-in-show-biz.html

Like me, it appears that Shannon is a bit of a "newbie" when it comes to tweeting.

In one update, she mused that she wasn't sure how to use the social tool effectively just yet, so she offered up the suggestion that followers could use the Twitter phenomenon to ask her questions about her life, career, what-have-you.

Great idea, for starters!

And, her reflection on the matter, triggered some thoughts of my own on the issue.

Twitter may be a potential substitute for a sort-of social register - or introduction service - for instance.

If you recall, years ago, folks - upper crust ones in particular - thought it very low class to chat a stranger up in an elevator, on a busy city street, or without a formal introduction by way of a trusted confidante, family member, or social contact.

In the wild & woolly world of today, it makes sense therefore to sign up with a social hub like Twitter, then casually "follow" an individual at a safe distance without any obligation until such time as there has been an opportunity to establish a sense of who the person is, determine what their hopes and dreams are in life - and ultimately - fathom if there is a place for that individual in the social, political and/or spiritual circles they travel in.

In the event the experiment doesn't pan out, well, no foul - eh?

Looking forward to more "tweets" Shannon; after all, they've been a joy thus far!

And, at least we have Vegas, right?

Laughter heals!

Coachella Music Festival..."tweet" quote of the day!

One of the morning disc jockeys was wickedly scrolling back tweet messages received over the weekend from one of his pals (slightly inebriated?) who partied-hearty at the popular sold-out Coachella Music Festival down in Indio.

Kudos to the one about the front man for the Killers which was so tweet!

"Brandon Flowers was carrying his own clothes in the parking lot."

Gosh, the kid gushed all star-struck, he's just like the rest of us.

Not quite!

Flowers must have been really out-of-his gourde - or sloshed at least - since most of the revellers wore their spiffy duds to the wild and woolly shindig under the big top!

Ba-dump.

Gotcha!
