Las Vegas...cops engage in intimidation tactics to save their jobs!

Squad cars may sit empty if lay-offs approved by City!

With possible lay-offs of eight-nine uniform officers in North Las Vegas on the horizon, a posse of the "Men in Blue" enaged in questionable conduct this past week which residents and City Officials argue rise to the level of intimidation.

For example, Cops - with a nod from the top Brass in the Department - erected ubiquitous signs on the side of the highways warning that if members of the force were laid-off that the community-at-large will be at risk and vulnerable to crimes.

On the heels of the implied threat, residents and City Officials expressed their anger and dismay on a local Newscast - over the unprecedented tactics irate Police Officers have used in recent days to stave off unemployment.

"They're instilling fear," one concerned home-owner lamented to a rapt reporter.

"We're trying to balance a budget. So, they shouldn't be so selfish in their demands," another opined a few seconds later.

Of course, their scare tactics do not come as a surprise in Las Vegas where the mob ruled (still?) once.

Years ago, for example, business owners were advised to pay for "protection" or "else".

If they didn't cough up the dough, it was inferred that their homes may be robbed and their shops razed.

The current strategy of the Las Vegas Police Department smacks of illegal intimidation tactics, too.

Maybe the FBI should step in and investigate to ensure that the veiled threats are not "empty" ones.

What happens in Vegas shouldn't stay in Vegas in my estimation in respect to these serious illegal issues.

Amen!

San Francisco Police Department...FBI probes dirty cops! Illegal searches & seizures!

On the heels of allegations that San Francisco plainclothes undercover officers engaged in illegal searches and seizures over the past year or so - and falsified police reports to back up their cavalier busts - the FBI has stepped in to investigate.

This past week I reported on the scandal which has shaken the city.

Post:  03/03/2011

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2011/03/san-franciscodirty-cops-accused-of.html

The Public Defender, Jeff Adachi, cried fowl in recent days when the District Attorney's office agreed to investigate the charges - but scoffed at the notion - that there should be an independent review.

Adachi argued to all within earshot that because George Gascon was Police Chief when the alleged wrong-doing took place last year - that a fair and just investigation can not be properly conducted by his office - at the end of the day.

In sum, it aappears that the FBI probe was triggered because of Garcon's reluctance to recognize that a full investigation by his office may not only be insufficient - but may also amount to a conflict of interest - as well.

"The FBI is conducting an independent investigation of allegations against several police officers, and we have SFPD's cooperation," confirmed FBI spokesperson, Julianne Sohn.

The current Police Chief - Jeff Godown - has lamented in the aftermath that he is disturbed by the fact that so-called incriminating videos (allegedly establishing wrong-doing on the part of San Francisco's finest!) - have been broadcast on local and national television.

"It makes it very difficult for us to conduct an investigation if I have to watch TV to find out what's happening in my Police Department," he grumbled to the press.

In his own defense, Jeff Adachi was quick to point out (rightly so) that the videos were evidentiary - and thus - viewed in open court for obvious reasons (which ultimately placed them in the public domain).

The videos may be viewed at:

http://www.youtube.com/user/sfpublicdefender

During a raid on Henry Hotel suites in San Francisco proper, officers apparently used a master key to open up a door, so that four officers could rush in and grab a suspect (who was later seen dragged into the hall and handcuffed).

In a second incriminating surveillance video, one officer was seen to be covering the camera recording the incident, while a posse of officers forced the occupant inside to open the door in a warrantless-search situation that didn't follow the book under the letter of the law.

Stay posted for updates!

Steve Cooley...Americans for Safe Access to fight City Attorney's bid for office!

It looks like the folks at Americans for Safe Access are out to stick it to Steve Cooley.

In an e-mail addressed to - patients, activists, and friends - ASA staff have put out the call for concerned citizens (who oppose Steve Cooley's upcoming election bid) to contribute some of their valuable spare time to assist in their ongoing crusade against Mr. Cooley.

Regular readers of  the Tattler may recall that I attended protests in front of FBI Headquarters in downtown Los Angeles last year - when Federal agents engaged in para-military-style raids on pot dispensaries - which Mr. Cooley condoned.

Governor Schwarzenegger tokes:

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/02/marijuana-ballot-measure-to-legalize.html

As you are no doubt aware, Steve Cooley is running for the post of Attorney General.

Because of his staunch stance against the medical use of marijuana, ASA members are campaigning to thwart his political aspirations by fervently distributing - NotCooley- flyers throughout the State of California.

Ultimately, it is ASA's objective to run interference in Cooley's bid for highest-ranking Law Enforcemen official.

ASA is urging  interested parties to get involved now - with the ultimate aim - of spreading the word about Steve Cooley.

In sum, ASA is suggesting that volunteers visit one or more dispensaries in their  area (or other public places) and fervently distribute a raft of - NotCooley - materials.

Leonardo DiCaprio...restrains passionate fan!

Leo's irresistible charms require fan restraint!

Religious zealots have been preaching the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ for decades, but few ever imagined that the Son of God would make a grand entrance into this mortal realm by way of Leonardo Di Caprio's seed!

The big screen Romeo - who triggers passions and causes hearts to go pitter-patter - was forced to petition the court for a restraining order against one delusional babe who was  under the mistaken impression that she is married to the charismatic star and carrying his child Jesus.

Holy crap, Batman!

Leonardo ("King of the World" normally) argued in supporting documents that the admirer's erratic behaviour sufficiently established that his safety may be at risk.

A series of dog-eared letters - stalker Livia Bistriceanu penned and zipped off to the actor by U.S. post - hinted at trouble ahead.

One scrawled note was particularly upsetting to Leo.

"Do you want to be with me for real and to be the father of Jesus?".

Consequently, the Judge presiding over the proceedings on Friday, issued an "order" that the woman stay 100 yards away from Leonardo whenever he is in the vicinity.

But, not all filmgoers share her undying love for the handsome actor.

At another court hearing in an unrelated matter, a 40-year-old woman was preparing to stand trial for striking Di Caprio with a wine glass which resulted in personal injury.

The talented actor did not show his mug at either proceeding, so I expect he's busy preparing for his next "role" in a film bio on FBI Director - J. Edgard Hoover - in which he may be required to cross-dress.

Pretty in pink, Leonardo?

Break a leg!

Happiness is a warm gun!

Criminal Records..."Secure Communities" illegals database launch slips under Nevada radar!

In spite of all the brouhaha over the Arizona Immigration Reform Bill targeting illegals - and the flood of ugly protests in its wake - a Federal database that uses fingerprints to feret out legal status and criminal history was given the green light.

The U.S. Department of Immigration "tool" sifts through data to identify high-risk illegal immigrants who may have been convicted of serious crimes such as rape, kidnapping, and drug trafficking (for starters).

The high-tech program - aptly titled "Secure Communities" (sounds like a sequel to the TV MOW "Stepford Wives" doesn't it?) was pressed into service in Washoe County with little fanfare this past week.

How did the Latino Eagle-eye miss that one?

For now, the Nevada community is the first to facilitate the resource, with Clark County stepping up-to-the-bat by 2013.

Normally, in the past - when a suspect was apprehended and charged - their fingerprints would automatically be sent to the FBI  where sophisticated network computers would match their  criminal records and those held at the Department of Homeland Security.

The program differs from Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act - in that - fingerprints of every suspect will be checked and not just those that were manually inputted based on red flags generated subjectively by law enforcement officers (such as potentially damaging comments made by a suspect in the throes of arrest) according to an ICE spokesperson.

Essentially, the intelligent Secure Communities software will work in tandem with - and bolster - Section 287(g).

Some critics have been quite vocal about the potential dangers.

According to legal scholars, fingerprint databases that probe too far, have the ability to run afoul of an individual's Fourth Amendment Rights - and subsequently - equal protection under the law.

If it is any consolation, supporters of the spanking-new information gatherer, argue strenuously that the ambitious program isn't subject to racial profiling or immigration status.

Why mention it, then?

Leonardo DiCaprio...plug oil leak with actor's snot! Say tweet trenders!

How soon they turn on 'ya, eh, Leonardo?

Tonight, trending started fast & furious on twitter when a couple of by-standers at the Laker's game caught the heart-throb dredging up something nasty out of his normally-pristine hairless nostrils.

"They should plug up the oil leak with whatever that was DiCaprio was picking out of his nose," one scandalized tweeter posted in a huff.

Inquiring minds want to know all the delicious (!) details.

Was it a pukey green color consisting of a thick pasty constitution, or just of the plain "white mucous" variety

How did he dispose of it?

Naw, he didn't!

Nothing to be ashamed of if you're caught in a pinch - suddenly and without notice - with all eyes on 'ya.

I recall singing this little ditty in the classroolm to annoy my teacher when her back was turned.

"Everyone's doin' it. Pickin' their nose and chewin' it."

One bimbo babe at the social hub site didn't seem to mind the disgusting habit, though.

"He's gorgeous," she gushed, "I want his babies."

Another, thought he looked kinda' dirty.

Uh-huh!

It appears that the Titantic dreamboat hadn't shaved for a day or two - and boy - he looked rough around the edges.

I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers, though.

One fan took the golden opportunity to boast that DiCaprio would be teaming up with Eastwood for a biopic on the intriguing life & times of J. Edgar Hoover.

Will the squinty-eyed-one probe into the former top Law Enforcement Officer's scandalous closetted homosexual lifestyle and the alleged trysts with his underlings (!) at the Bureau?

Congressman Lamar Smith...FBI director asked to investigate Sestak scandal! 13 Repubs join in...

Congressman Lamar Smith and 13 other Republicans sent a letter on Friday to FBI Director Robert Mueller requesting an investigation into the Sestak scandal.

If you recall, I reported last week that Representative  Joe Sestak (D-PA) disclosed that former President Bill Clinton conveyed an offer of an administration post to Senator Sestak - if he dropped his bid for the Democratic Senate Committee - which Senator Arlen Specter was seeking.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/05/sestakscandal-peaking-bill-clinton.html

Because of the seriousness of the allegations - and due to a potential conflict of interest - Lamar Smith questioned the manner in which the White House had been handling the brewing scandal.

"It's not really up to White House to decide whether they did anything wrong or not,” Smith told Fox News a scant few hours ago.

The Texas lawmaker - a high ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee - doubted the ability of the Department of Justice to conduct an "objective investigation” because (in his view) the department was "too politicized."

The congressman said a probe was warranted by the FBI because of "so many suspicions that have been raised."

"If it was a presidential advisory board, which one?" Smith asked in view of the nature of the Sestak offer and the lack of specific details offered up.

If there was a quid pro quo, some argue that the "offer" - in that event - would  require a criminal investigation and prosecution depending on the findings.

Netfirms Inc...hi-jacks web sites! Engages in conspiracy & Violates rights!

Netfirms hi-jacks web sites

Earthlink CEO Rolla P. Huff tried to embezzle funds!

If my readers attempted to cruise over to my personal web site - http://www.julianayrs.com/ - they were  probably shocked at first by what they encountered.

Instead of my usual bevy of juicy daily posts - on gossip, political news, and social events - a DNS notice indicated that the computers were not loading properly, that the highly-trafficked site wasn't accessible, and that Earthlink was responsible.

DNS notice at www.julianayrs.com

Hmm, www.julianayrs.com isn't loading right now.

The computers that run www.julianayrs.com are having some trouble.
Usually this is just a temporary problem, so you might want to try again in a few minutes.
Want more detail?
See which nameservers are failing.

The note that there were "no records" was quite alarming, too, as you'll understand fully when you read on.

On occasion, if the web site address is inputted into the browser, the individual is actually transported magically to a google site which lists a number of my posts published over the past few months.

Huh?

What you witnessed was the hi-jacking of my web site by a posse of conspirators I have determined to be the CEO of Earthlink (my original web host provider) and Netfirms, Inc.

My readers may recall that I recently posted an article about Earthlink in which I noted that the company had engaged in acts of attempted embezzlement of funds, breach of contract, fraud, and failure to meet the terms and conditons of a contractual agreement.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/02/earthlinkembezzles-funds-engages-in.html

Shortlly after that article was posted on my web site, suddenly, www.julianayrs.com disappeared from the Internet.

In its place was a brief announcement.

GONE

In small type the message (from Earthlink) noted that the resource (once situated at that location) was no longer available.

In essence, Earthlink retaliated against me (illegally and in violation of my rights) by pulling the plug on the web hosting plan.

However, after-the-fact, Netfirms (who obviously has a personal and professional relationship with Earhlink) proceeded to engage in a conspiracy to hi-jack my web site and prevent me from transfering my domain name (which I own) to another host plan I purchased about thirty days ago.

For instance, when I attempted to log in to my control panel - in spite of the fact the security code was correct - an error code appeared.

INVALID CODE

I fired off an e-mail to technical support to ask that Netfirms kindly correct the glitch in their system.

Imagine that, they didn't respond for over a week.

Is it because I accused them in my e-mail of conspiring with Earthlink to deny me access to my site so I could not transfer and/or build the entertainment news website elsewhere?

About a week later (!) Netfirms fired a communication back stating for the record that - indeed - my security code was correct.

However, they failed to respond to my questions about denial of service to the control panel.

If the security code was correct, why couldn't I log in, and transfer my site to the new host?

Netfirms has not responded to a second e-mail regarding these matters as of this date (February 9th/2010).

Curiously, registration is due in ten days, so I have to consider the possiblity that they are also angry over the fact I have been anxiouss to transfer my account to another company that is not trying to create a monopoly on the registration "domain" business (as Netfirms appears to be doing).

In view of the foregoing, I apologize for any incovenience this has caused my loyal daily readers.

Today, I have lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission against both Netfirms Inc and Earthlink.

In addition, I intend to file a criminal complaint for conspiracy and violations of consumer rights (fraud, attempted embezzlement of funds, etc) at the FBI's cybernet crimes unit for investigation and prosecution in the event these matters fall under their jurisdiction.

Stay in touch, eh?

My personal website will be online soon.

In the meantime, catch all the news thats fit to post (by moi) @

LAPD...vice squad threatens & intimidates pedestrian! Tries to coerce confession & violates rights...

Last night a pedestrian left an art opening and proceeded to turn down Hayworth Street (just west of Fairfax) to his vehicle parked at the curb on the unusually dark side street.

Suddenly, a late-model sedan swerved into the curb on his right, and a voice barked out from the interior of the unmarked car.

"What are you doing there?"

The local resident hesitated for a second to get his wits about him - at which point - the unidentified man stepped out of the door on the driver's side in a Police uniform and approached.

When the fellow calmly explained he was on his way to his parked car farther down a-ways on the left side of the quiet street - the cop didn't put much stock in his response - for some inexplicable reason.

At this juncture, the pedestrian was led into the middle of the intersection under blinding street lights, as the Officer snatched up an envelope from his shaking hand and roughly tossed the contents of his personal effects onto the roof of his car.

"Where's your wallet," he demanded.

The surprised citizen informed the rude and insulting officer that it was in his back pocket.

Now, the Cop (who still hadn't identified himself or stated the nature of his business) decided to detain the man, in spite of the fact he had been cooperative and was not putting up any resistance.

The thirty-something law enforcement agent whirled the older gent around, ordered him to place his arms over this head, then handcuffed him!

Now, a second officer appeared out-of-the shadows - shone a flashlight into his eyes without warning - then asked for the "keys" to his car.

The distressed detainee motioned to his front pocket.

After struggling to locate the key ring for a few minutes, the officer's partner turned on his heel (after a few whispers between them) and headed up Hayworth towards a vehicle on the left in the next block.

Suddenly, and without any provocation whatsoever, the first officer began to threaten and intimidate his charge into making a "confession".

First, he mumbled:

"What were you going to pay (for) or (in) the car."

The emotionally distraught resident was shocked by the turn of events - understandably - and responded by noting he had his own vehicle parked on the street a half-a-block away.

"Why would I want that car? I have my own just down the street."

The officer retorted in a nasty tone of voice:

"Look, I'll dust the car for prints. So, you may as well fess up."

At this juncture, the alleged suspect was totally confused by the officer's demands.

The cop continued.

"Would you prefer a misdemeanour for lewd conduct in a public place or a Felony Count for obstructing justice?"

Whoa!

What kind of a shake-down was this?

Since when was it considered lewd conduct to stroll down the street to one's vehicle after an entertaining night out at a cultural event in the community?

Obstructing justice?

The unlawfully detained gentleman was beside himself with grief.

The local resident had not only cooperated with the cop, but also gave a detailed account of events he witnessed on the street just before the Officer sped up next to him, and proceeded to engage in what amounted to a false arrest.

For example, he informed the young rookie that as he was heading toward his SUV, he spotted a couple of individuals (at least two, maybe three) lurking in the shadows about half-way down the street.

Was there a drug deal underway, he wondered to himself?

It also crossed his mind that the suspicious characters may have been laying in wait to mug unaware residents in the neighborhood innocently passing by on the street.

So - as he explained to the Officer - he proceeded to plunk himself down on a retainer wall out of sight as he tried to surreptitiously observe what was going on in the shadows ahead.

Suddenly, he heard a shout. But, he couldn't make out what was said.

Now, he spotted someone (it appeared to be a male) dart off like he was either trying to elude or catch up to someone.

A second or two later a second individual raced off in the same direction (after him?).

The two individuals both turned down a cross-street at the next corner and out of sight.

Then, he noted for the record, that he heard a car door slam in the vicinity of the commotion.

At this juncture, a man calmly (but swiftly) walked up the other side of the street opposite him, in a Northerly direction towards busy Santa Monica Boulevard.

Alone in the dark night, and not knowing what to think of the startling events, the bystander proceeded towards his vehicle.

At this juncture, the cop sped up and the aforementioned events I reported here, unfolded like clock-work.

When the officer made mention of the other vehicle, and that he intended to dust for prints, it was clear at this point to the hapless suspect that the Officer thought he was involved in the incident the detainee was a witness to from his vantage point farther up the street.

There was no way he was going to deviate from his account of things, after all, he was totally clueless about the events and his alleged participation in them.

As the 2nd Officer strolled off to fulfill his promise to impound the subject vehicle up the street, there was squawk on the walkie-talkie.

A dispatcher at the Police Station relayed updated information to his "jailer", that appeared to have an unsettling effect on him.

When the cop signed off, there was an awkward pause for a second, then he informed the alleged suspect he was being "let go".

"We know you are not the individual we were after."

Did the Police Department conduct a search on the title to the suspect vehicle - and after checking the identity of the innocent pedestrian - arrive at that conclusion at long last?

Who knows!

But, shortly after that confession, the Officer made another shocking disclosure.

"I'm with the Vice Squad with the LADP. There was a prostitute giving head to a gentleman in that vehicle down there. I didn't see his face because he pulled his hat down."

The falsely accused gent hadn't even considered that scenario!

A drug deal gone sour, perhaps!

Or, a break-in gone wrong was quite possible, too!

The Officer stuttered a bit and made a lot of silly excuses to the falsely accused man who - in a nutshelll - had not only detained and falsely accused - but publicly humiliated in the street in front of residents of the neighbourhood and strangers passing by.

Indeed - at one point the officer threatened and intimidated the innocent victim - and deceitfully tried to coerce him into admitting to committing an alleged crime he was not part of - or face a Felony charge of obstructing justice.

In fact, the patient detainee had been nothing but cooperative, in spite of the outrageous rights Violations, willful and wrongful illegal conduct of the Officer which was unjust and demeaning - which ultimately - amounted to a shocking abuse of the color of authority.

The intentional act of the - "Intimidation of a witness" - is a Federal Crime, isn't it?

And, what of an officer who tries to coerce a confession from an innocent victim under threat of prosecution?

Notwithstanding, in the aftermath when the cuffs were off, the Officer had the bald-faced audacity to laugh about the ugly incident as if it were a delicious joke to feast on.

"Now you have something to tell your friends for years to come," he guffawed.

And, to the FBI and Police Chief Bratton, for starters!

That cop should be strung up by the ba**s and hung out to dry!

West Hollywood Post Office...postal clerks tamper with mail. A felony?

I was quite flabbergasted when I witnessed a shocking scenario that went down in the West Hollywood Postal Station this afternoon.

When a resident in the area stopped at the clerk's window with a notice to pick up a item labelled "merchandise" , he got shuffled to the back of the line, and the other patrons who arrived after him, ended up being served first.

Exasperated, he complained about the incident, but the package was still not forthcoming.

At this juncture, the counter-person re-verified the Box Number - at which point - there was an odd-ball exchange of dialogue between the two clerks on duty that didn't make any sense.

Well, we handed it over to each other. That's what happened."

In my day, we called that double-talk.

Attorneys are good at that game!

Then, the clerk had the audacity to ask the gentleman to affix his signature to the notice, in spite of the fact he hadn't even caught sight of the alleged package containing "merchandise".

Did this the clerk actually expect a customer to sign for an article before her or she determined if the package was meant for them?

"I'd like to see what this merchandise is," he politely advised her.

Then, without batting an eye, she turned to the other clerk (out-of-sight behind a door) and almost whispered:

He wants to see the package first."

A-ha!

I didn't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out that the clerk had just tried to trick the box holder into signing for the package, before he ever laid his eyes on it.

The clerk also misrepresented information on the postal notice - since the parcel was a "large envelope" - and not "merchandise" as falsely alleged

The clerks deliberately witheld the senders postal code, too - a piece of vital information that is generally stated on the "Notice" - before it is placed in a customer's mailbox.

In view of all the evidence, it is quite obvious that the clerks snooped into the box holder's personal affairs, tried to act on behalf of a third party outside the postal station (in spite of the fact the man who stood before them was their paying client), and essentially tampered with his mail by virtue of the fact they held it back and tried to get him to sign for it in a deceitful and dishonest manner.

Isn't mail tampering a felony?

I trust the individual will file a complaint with the Postmaster General in Washington, D.C. and mail a certified copy to the FBI, as well, so they can conduct a probe.

Something is amiss in the West Hollywood Postal Station.

And, it stinks to high heaven!

Free Iran...news alert! Protestors at Federal Building...Feb 8th

Just a short while ago, I was cruising along Wilshire Boulevard when I spied a rag-tag band of protestors in front of the Federal Building waving signs excitedly to motorists passing by.

In bold-faced type one screamed out the following message:

"Free Iran".

Another made a plea.

"Democracy for Iran."

Why is it that activists on the trail of their cause always park themselves down in front of the Federal Building?

Are they in the dark about the fact the FBI holds sway on the top two levels of that high-security Government facility?

Unfortuately, the traffic was so hectic in Westwood, that I was unable to scoot from the inside lane over to the side of the road to snatch up a flier or at least have a brief chat with one of the organizers.

I expect there will be a report on the news tonight or in the dailies, tomorrow.

Free Iran?

Yeah, and while you're at it - free the nuclear bombs - too!

Robert Mueller...FBI's top dog being impersonated by Nigerian scam artists!

This morning, I received an e-mail communication from an individual who claimed to be FBI Bureau Chief - Robert Mueller - in Washington, D.C.

Obviously, this is another convoluted scheme concocted by Nigerian scam artists to bilk American citizens out of money.

The e-mail - which cites the Hoover Bldg. in Washington as a contact address - states the following verbatim:

"We believe this notification meets you in a very good present state of mind and health. We the Federal bureau of investigation (FBI) Washington, DC in conjunction with some other relevant Investigation Agencies here in the United states of America have recently been informed through our Global intelligence monitoring network that you presently have a transaction going on with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as regards to your over-due contract payment which was fully endorsed in your favor accordingly."

"We will find a way to fix a schedule for you to come to our head-quarter in Washington DC to enable us advise you on what to do, but meanwhile you are further advised to be contacting us via email for now because we are having various investigations that we are working on now."

"Keep everything regarding to your transaction confidential for security reasons and note that we have not informed the local FBI department in your state regarding this matter because we want to keep everything secret until your fund is been transferred to you accordingly."

"We the FBI have purposely create an email in order for us to contact you personally and our phone codes departments are not aware of this new improvement,so don't call our service line regarding this email, soon we will provide you with a line you can call for more information about this contract winning funds."

"For the main time we the Federal Bureau of Investigation Washington DC will be helping you to monitor all the transaction with the Central Bank of Nigeria. we want you to have in mind that we are trying to protect you because your inheritance fund that is about to be transferred to you (!!!) is a large amount of money, and we will advise you not to inform any one about this transaction until the corresponding bank have successfully transferred your inheritance fund."

"It might interest you to know that we have taken out time in screening through this project as stipulated on our protocol of operation and have finally confirmed that your contract payment is 100% genuine and hitch free from all facet and of which you have the lawful right to claim your fund without any further delay."

"Having said all this, we will further advise that you go ahead in dealing with the Central Bank office accordingly as we will be monitoring all their services with you as well as your correspondence at all level."

"In addendum, also be informed that we recently had a meeting with the Executive Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, in the person of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and Mr. Kingsley Agwor along with some of the top officials of the Ministry regarding your case and they made us to understand that your file has been held in abase depending on when you personally come for the claim. They also told us that the only problem they are facing right now is that some unscrupulous element are using this project as an avenue to scam innocent people off their hard earned money by impersonating the Executive Governor and the Central Bank office.
We were also made to understand that a lady with name Mrs. Joan C. Bailey from OHIO has already contacted them and also presented to them all the necessary documentations evidencing your claim purported to have been signed personally by you prior to the release of your contract fund valued at about US$8,000,000.00 (Eight million united states dollars), but the Central Bank office did the wise thing by insisting on hearing from you personally before the go ahead on wiring your fund to the Bank information which was forwarded to them by the above named Lady so that was the main reason why they contacted us so as to assist them in making the investigations."

"They further informed us that we should warn our dear citizens who must have been informed of the contract payment which was awarded to them from the Central Bank of Nigeria, to be very careful prior to this irregularities so that they don't fall victim to this ugly circumstance. And should in case you are already dealing with anybody or office claiming to be from the Central Bank of Nigeria, you are further advised to STOP further contact with them in your best interest and then contact immediately the real office of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) only with the below informations accordingly".

NAME: PROF. CHUKWUMA SOLUDO

U.S. Military...may conduct war maneuvers on Internet!

One of the main focuses of the Internet in recent years has been as a research tool, a social outlet for the curious masses, or as a means of touting opinions on the World-Wide-Web.

In recent days, Americans sat up and took notice when it became evident the Internet was also a powerful tool to influence the election process as well.

Now, U.S. Military officials are seeking ways to develop "virtual attacks" on enemies of the American way of life.

A spokesman for the military noted that initially agents limited their activities in this arena to diverting data packets that may have put National Data systems at risk.

At a meeting of the Association for Intelligence Officers recently, Lt. General Robert J. Elder Jr. noted that the military may facilitate network warfare in the future to interfere with an enemy communication system, for example.

In that event, the online maneuvers may replace the need for conventional weapons such as bombs, landmines, etc.

However, no such attack would be launched, Elder assured the media, without first considering the rules of engagement the military is normally mindful of in most military attack-mode scenarios.

In sum, there would be a formal declaration of war first, added Elder, at a New York Chapter meeting held in recent days.

Unbeknownst to many - myself included - apparently Cyber attacks were used by the U.S. Military in the early days of the Iraq war. So, the concept is not novel or far-fetched, to be sure.

On that occasion, Military experts jammed Iraq military systems, using the network attacks to thwart Iraq ground units from communicating with each other.

In view of the fact the "Homeland Security Act" is still in full force and effect, it occurred to me that it is wholly possible that the U.S. Military is surreptitiously scanning the bandwaves in the name of National Security right under our noses.

If so - will the American people ever be privy to the information that is gleaned - whether it is relevant or not to military intelligence or national security?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Thomas Jefferson once said,
"From time to time, the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots."
