Zsa Zsa Gabor...slips into coma! Legendary celebrity fights for life!

 

Shortly after returning home from a stint at the Ronald Reagan Medical Facility, Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed back to the hospital suffering from additional medical problems which have allegedly triggered a coma-like condition (according to Prince Frederic von Anhalt).

A feeding tube that was inserted into Ms. Gabor's stomach ended up bleeding and required immediate doctor's care to prevent life-threatening complications.

The legendary celebrity - once married to Hotelier Conrad Hilton - recently licked a nasty bout of pneaumonia.

But, a new medical dilemma now looms on the horizon.

The coma Gabor is now suffering from has resulted in physical complications and difficulty in communicating with her loved ones.

"She doesn't respond," von Anhalt informed the media on Wednesday afternoon

The star of such celebrated films as Orson Welle's - Touch of Evil - is struggling valiantly to overcome her new medical challenges.

The Hungarian-born actress was often a colorful outspoken guest - alongside her two famous sisters - on the talk-show circuit for years.

A few years ago Ms. Gabor gained notoriety when she was stopped for a moving violation - and subsequently - struck a rude (handsome) Beverly Hills Police Officer (in an incident that became known as the "slap" that was heard around the world).

Zsa Zsa's acting performance on screen in Huston's biopic on Toulouse-Lautrec ("Moulin Rouge") earned her rave reviews years ago at the height of her topsy-turvy acting career.

On a humorous note, fans may recall that Gabor also camped it up on the TV sppof - Batman - a couple of decades ago when the weekly serial scored high ratings with the American viewing public.

The pairing of Gabor - and her 9th husband (von Anhalt) - has been a perfect match in view of the fact that both Gabor and von Anhalt are always hungry to be in the glare of the spotlight in spite of the consequences.
 
For example, recently filmgoers were shocked to hear that von Anhalt was seriously considering allowing his wife to become pregnant though seriously ill and 94 years of age.
 
Ms. Gabor's lone child - Francesca Hilton - said it best when quizzed by the press.
 
"Bizarre!"

Anne Hathaway...cast as Catwoman! Meow!

 

Just goes to show 'ya - when you rustle up a high-profile in the biz almost overnight (in addition to turning in a couple of stellar screen characterizations in big box-office features along the way) - that the world is your oyster.

This especially appears to be true for the flavor of the month - talented actress and red-carpet head-turner - Anne Hathaway!

Shortly after starring opposite sexy Jake Gyllenhaal in "Love & Other Drugs", Ms. Hathaway has been handed the plum pussy role of "Catwoman" on a silver platter with a nod from celebrated director Christopher Nolan.

According to handlers, Hathaway is slated to lens the much-anticipated franchise sequel - "The Dark Knight Rises" - in the very near future.

Meow!

Now, Ms. Hathaway follows in a long line of distinguished oft-remembered screen Goddesses - who slipped into the feline costume with ease- in a myriad of TV & Film projects of yesteryear.

Of course, I am referring to luminaries such as Julie Newmar, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lee Meriweather and - who could forget? - oh-so-organic Eartha Kitt!

I expect that Hathaway will scratch up a storm - or at a minimum pull off a delicious tease - given the chance.

Batman 3...Tom Hardy jumps onboard! What part will he tackle?

Hardy rumors abound!

Apparently, Christopher Nolan has been keeping his cards close to the chest, in respect to casting on the upcoming Batman 3 project.

News has leaked out, however, that Tom Hardy (directed by Nolan in Inception) has been hired on to play a major role in the successful comic strip franchise.

But, which character will the handsome actor take on?

Nolan's not uttering a word!

A Batman sidekick, perhaps?

Others are speculating differently.

A nasty - in-your-face - unscrupulous villain!

Inside sources are playing a cat-and-mouse game in the high-stakes realms of Tinsel Town.

It's being hinted that Hardy may take on the challenging task of portraying either the Riddler, the Penguin (naw!), or Killer Croc.

Christian Bale...shocking tirade on set jolts the biz! No. 1 a**hole...

Bale a fu**ing mean Hombre?

An audio recording of Christian Bale throwing a fit on the set of his latest movie had tongues wagging this morning around the Nation.

In fact, disc jockeys were having a field day with the clip - recorded months ago - that TMZ posted on their web site over the week-end.

Allegedly, the director of cinematography stepped into the set to adjust a light - at which point - Bale let into him.

The audio tape reveals that the surprised crew member was not only subjected to verbal abuse, but physical threats, as well.

And, the spoiled actor's outburst wasn't just a short little tantrum, either.

The shocking tape lasts about three and a half minutes and is so riddled with foul language, that after "bleeps" were edited in to block out the offensive swear words, there wasn't much left on tape for the curious to make hide-nor-tail of.

Clever staff at one radio station seized on the opportunity bright and early this morning to hold a little contest on air.

"How many "F" bombs did Christian Bale hurl," one jock queried his audience.

"Call us right now and see if you can correctly put your tongue on the number."

Of course, it is not unusual for a crew member - especially a director of cinematography - to step into a hot set while a scene is being rehearsed or filmed to tweak a light or some such thing.

So what was the big fuss?

Well, a few actors in the business have a problem with concentration.

Tommy Lee Jones and Joan Collins, for instance, don't like bystanders stepping into their eye line as they are working because it may throw distract them.

Many directors are aware of that and usually make allowances by forewarning the crew and other cast members in advance before an actor arrives on set.

Notwithstanding, Bale's abusive conduct - and the subsequent thorough dressing-down of the crew member - was inappropriate and downright unprofessional.

After swearing at the man, and thoroughly humiliating him in front of everyone present on the movie set, the B-list movie actor threatened to "smash his lights".

Did he mean he was going to trash the light set-ups or was it a veiled threat?

Was Bale implying that he might punch the DP in the face?

It appears that the actor, known for being picky, is a time bomb waiting to go off.

Last year, many in the business were taken aback, when Christian Bale was accused of some violence in a Hotel room overseas.

On that occasion, he narrowly escaped criminal charges for assault.

Many thought the incident was an isolated one brought on my career pressures, or - quite simply - amounted to a squabble with family members that was simply blown out of proportion by his accusers, the media, and so forth and so on.

Even so, the reprehensible behaviour he exhibited in a work-related setting, underscores that Bale clearly has some anger management issues to address!

I am surprised that in view of what went down, that the actor didn't secure the incriminating recording months ago to prevent it from being released to the media at a later date.

In view of the fact the "sound man" is usually considered a tight-knit part of a crew that works closely with the cinematographer, obviously there has been some skullduggery underfoot behind-the-scenes.

Did the DP ask the audio-recorder to put the tape away for safe-keeping?

And, why did it get released now, and not six months ago when the first incident sprung forth in all its ugly fury?

Enquiring minds want to know!
