Las Vegas...pink speedo-clad studs turn heads! Marquee Club packs 'em in at Cosmopolitan!

Just as I started to stroll out the front door of the Bellagio Hotel onto the escalator walkway that transports tourists to the entrance of the Cosmopolitan next door, I spied two slightly-tipsy (!) dudes - stark naked - save for tight-fittting pink speedos (a second skin?) and ubiquitious foot apparel (the mighty flip-flop) flapping in a light breeze.

Uh-huh.

The studly boy-toys turned quite a few heads!

Surprisingly - though the streets were rife with hetero energy - no slurs rang out to rain on their parade.

Nope - not one cry of "fag" or "queers" - fell upon my ears!

There were a couple of humorous comments, however.

One macho dude - with his gal pal in tow - cried out:

"I like your boyfriend. He's cute!"

Everyone within earshot broke into gales of laughter in a fun festive way.

At one point, the "couple" (honeymooning in Vegas after marrying in New York?) let their bulging crotches hang on a hand-rail which separated the two walkways going each way, which triggered wild squeals from a bevy of bodacious babes who caught an eyeful (to say the least!).

The sexy twosome proceeded to titillate street pedestrians and literally stop traffic as they strutted down the strip and tourists scurried for photo ops!

When I trotted into the Cosmopolitan, I was forced to fight my way through the hip young crowd, swarming at the latest "in" spot on the Vegas strip.

Upstairs, the mood had heightened to a fever pitch, as locals - and out-of-towners - tried to wangle their way into the Marquee Club.

Every since Paris Hilton frequented the trendy watering hole - duly noted by the press - it has been a popular hang-out for celebs, lookie-looks, and wannabees anxious to trip-the-light fantastic (and get laid)!

By the way, if you're planning on popping in to the Bellagio to get a gander at the display at the Conservatory, you'd be wise to take in the spectacle in the evening when the "Ferris Wheel" and "Merry-Go-Round" are lit up and decorated to perfection.

The scent of the tropical flowers in bloom beats any high-end perfume being plugged by any discerning fashion house!

On a down note, it should be noted that the waitresses at the Cosmopolitan and Bellagio are pretty slow in delivering up exotic cocktails on the Casino floor.

The Hotels are either understaffed or the servers are - quite simply - dragging their hose.

Who knows, maybe it's a deliberate ploy by Management to get patrons to saunter up to the house bar and order up pricey drinks that aren't shelled out on the gambling-room floor.

There outta be a law!

Los Angeles...skyscrapers to compete with Times Square! LA LA LAND destination city!

Tourists and locals alike are quite keen to the fact that if they saunter downtown after hours in Los Angeles, that they'll pretty much encounter a ghost town with little late-night entertainment to offer.

It is not surprising to hear that the hip with-it set interested in partying-hearty often jet to Las Vegas or Manhattan - especially if they're pining for trendy watering holes to hang out in 'til the wee hours of dawn.

But, the developers behind the billion-dollar Wilshire Grand project have their sights on transforming that boring image to ensure LA LA LAND is a destination city in the future.

For example, along the upper floors of the planned 45-story hotel and 65-floor office tower, architects have hatched up a novel idea to etch a myriad of fanciful images of butterflies, waterfalls, and galaxies of stars by embedding thousands of lights in the building's surface.

The lower floors would feature a dazzling array of commercial ads to enliven the normally-dark canyons of the downtown city core.

Think the Chanel building in Tokyo or the Cira Centre in Pennsylvania.

And, in the end scenario, the landowners expect to transform and revitalize the heart of Los Angeles

Korean Air, the main financial backer, has teamed up with a host of - business entities, high-profile glad-handing politicians (and even unions) - to rustle up the clout necessary to green-light the project with officials and city planners in the corridors of power.

Needless to say, a nasty debate has reared its ugly head over the issue.

Critics argue that the proposed plan will radically alter the city's skyline, for starters.

And, because of it, developers may end up butting heads with established factions in Los Angeles who have their own visionary ideas about what kind of evolution should take place in the future.

Opponents prefer the trend away from excessive signage in the cityscape to one that follows a green policy that is environmental-friendly.

One critic has cautioned that the city shouldn't allow light emitting diodes (LEDS) on dozens of stories of any skyscraper until there is a blueprint in place for regulating the technology.

True!

What do you think?

Lindsay Lohan...partying on down-low @ Fashion week? Takes bite of Big Apple...

The manstream press has been awash with news of a "reformed" Lindsay Lohan innocently attending oh-so-trendy fashion week & a glut of high-profile run-way shows in NYC.

For all-the-world it appeared that a remorseful "mature" Lindsay was emerging in the aftermath of the tawdry debacle which played out in the courts and tabloid press this summer.

But, gossips are tittering that - on the contrary - Lindsay has been out-on-the-town on the sly.

It's been reported, for instance, that a low-key bleary-eyed Lindsay burned the midnight oil at both ends at NYC hot spot - The Boom Boom Room - with chic fashion victims in tow.

Lies & deception?

What a great title for a Lindsay Lohan sequel!

Later.

Lindsay Lohan...punchy after fist in face! Star acted with grace...

You can have your cake & eat it, too!
(no matter what that twisted waitress thinks)

Footloose (well, not exactly with that ubiquitious ankle-bracelet) and fancifree - Lindsay Lohan sauntered out the front door of her home evening last - to celebrate her 24th birtday.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, LINDSAY!

As Kojak would say, we love 'ya baby!

But, not all things that go bump in the night, were in the mood to toast the femme-fatale out on her nightly par-tay-hearty Red Bull 'rounds.

At the oh-so-chic Voyeur Club (nestled alongside the French Market Place on the strip) the spoiled movie star - known to court a Judge or two on account of naughty social behaviour - was sent for a loop when a waitress out-of-the-blue stormed up and punched Ms. Lohan smack dab in the face.

Ouch.

Bitch-fight!

But, the head-strong young colt diffused a potentially ugly incident, when she acted with restraint.

Instead of slapping back, or calling the cops to file assault charges, Ms. Lohan handled the unpleasant encounter with Grace.

That's classy!

That's right, you hold your head high, girl!

That screwball babe was just lookin' for publicity - and in the final analysis - an opportunity to link to your fame.

She's a "twisted wacko lipstick-lesbo" with the hots for you.

Talk about sicko!

They don't call Tinsel Town "Hollyweird" for no good reason!

Oh, by the way, many happy returns!

What now?

Troubadour...nightclub where Elton John, James Taylor & The Doors got their big breaks! WeHo...

The celebrated Troubadour first opened its doors way back in 1957 when West Hollywood was still a wild unincorporated town!

The legendary Doors allegedly signed their 1st record deal after a record exec caught their act LIVE! and in the raw.

Sir Elton John, Tom Waits, and James Taylor appeared on a regular basis in the halcyon days of their illustrious musical careers, too.

Today, a gig at Doug Weston's Troubadour is still a status booster, no matter how 'ya cut it.
