And, the festivities have begun for the Chinese New Year, in Chinatown.
At the Dragon Parade this afternoon there were a myriad number of exquisitely decorated floats, marching bands, and happy-go-lucky revellers out celebrating in the streets.
Over the weekend there will be much dancing,supping on delectable treats, and frolicking in general.
